Our Story

The Deek and Batta is a British-Arab fusion pub located in the heart of Abdoun, Amman. Founded in 2025, we set out to create a space where cultures meet, stories are shared, and community thrives. Our name says it all—“Deek” (rooster in Arabic) and “Batta” (duck)—two characters that reflect our playful yet meaningful approach to bringing contrasts together.

At our pub, British pub culture meets the warmth and vibrancy of Arab hospitality. With curated music, a welcoming setting, signature drinks, and classic dishes like fish and chips, we offer a space where everyone feels at home. Our premium shisha lounge adds a relaxed dimension to the experience, creating the perfect setting for long conversations and laid-back evenings. 

What truly sets The Deek and Batta apart is our in-house bottle shop—a Amman first—where guests can browse a selection of bottles sold at retail prices, choose their favorite, and enjoy it right at the table for a modest corkage fee. We also offer an ever-changing array of imported beers for those looking to explore unique brews from around the world.
